This post belongs to webmaster's blog :
WebShowBiz
+ filmplus.org/business -- I write it on "writer's" pages, because of realiazation that "web-year" (2007) was about doing webpages for THEM, not me anymore.

This is the biggest change in ten years (since the very beginnig of my webbing).
How else can I leave web behind?
"Web with anatoly without anatoly" -- that how it looks like -- "finishing" (fixing) my pages; because only I can read my mind (sometimes).
What does it mean?
Turning "notest" into "texts" -- a lot of work.
Short-stories and long-stories (two narratives) -- [ 0 ] and [ 1 ] starting pages.
NEXT function could be  done through MENUs.
WRITE vs. WRIGHT [ reading and/or watching pages ].
  •  connection with web-aesthetics : web.vtheatre.net
  • need to have different logos [ like the one above ]
  • different background colors?
  • layouts...
beta.vtheatre.net -- somewhat related?
Another name (ID) = ant
ant vs. anatolant and anatoly
 ...
I need to think about it.

OK,so I have read parts of just about ALL your webpages and writings online.

What I don't understand is - how can someone claiming to have such a broad knowledge write NOTHING about Hans Urs Von Balthasar? His "Glory of the Lord" trilogy - Theological Aestehtics, Theo-Drama, and Theo-Logic - blow everything else out of the water. He is one of the only original thinkers (in the TRUE sense) of the 20th century and maybe since Aquinas. In fact, he does for the post modern world and philosophy and art and everything, what Aquinas did for the 13th century. His genius is then brought to fruition in the world by Luigi Guissani and by the journal COMMUNIO.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to talk about ANY of the subjects you try to write about without an understanding of the work of von Balthasaar, but you would need to take a three year sabbatical to even BEGIN to absorb it all. For it is an entirely new vision for this world/culture, one that is both very old and very new (you would understand it perfectly, though, if you submitted yourself to it). But the Theological Aesthetics is 7 volumes, and the Theological Dramatic and Theo-Logic are very long too.

I read Balthasar very long ago, in Moscow and in Russia (70s) and I didn't have time to do it in English. And, yes, I am retiring this year, because I do not have time to read and write.
Thanks,
I will put Balthasar on my list.

Good, I hope you WILL read him! His trilogy was on the Beautiful (Theological Aesthetics - "The Glory of the Lord") - in which aesthetics is NOTHING like what western philosophers think - it is determined by the object and not our perception....as for Dante, Beatrice became more beautiful as HE changed. The Theo-Dramatics is about the Good, or as John Paul II wrote in his dissertation, "The Acting Person." The Theo-Logic is about the True.
For all three, it is about the True, the Beautiful and the Good as CONCRETE reality, not philosophical abstractions.

Best of all is how we come to know these three things concretely: through "the Smile of the Mother:"

"The first experience of the infant is the smile of his mother; and in that experience, that FIRST ENCOUNTER, he awakens to himself and to the world. The horizon of unlimited being opens for him, revealing four things to him: (1) that he is ONE in love with the mother, even in being OTHER than his mother, therefore all being is one; (2) that that love is good, therefore all being is good; (3) that that love is true, therefore all being is true; and (4) that that love evokes joy, therefore all being is beautiful.”

His writing on Beauty had a big effect on Pope Benedict XVI; you should read his speech at the Communion and Liberation international meetingi n Rimini, Italy in 2002, where he quotes Dostoevsky's "Beauty will save the world:"
