Perestroika Approaches (Kushner in the 80s), but it wasn't USA... The Russians see Obama as Gorbachev, his restructuring lead to the end of USSR; now -- America's turn?
The end of the Cold War continues?
What changes took place in the West during two past decades -- ? Crisis now?
Delaied reaction?
Does O understand the challenge? Was he talking about THAT change?
Not his supporters for sure. They were against Bush, not the 20th century concept of USA...
Being "green" and "environmental" without being global -- how?
Do we understand that national histories are over? That was the result of 50 years of the Cold War [WWIII] !
I do not think that Americans are ready to say goodbye to the super-power status, to become not the best, but one of many -- unless the crisis will teach them a lesson.
Better say, lessons.
(Every) (Average) American has $30K of dept -- who holds this IOY note?
The Soviet Union felt apart because it couldn't afford the empire. Communism (future generations) didn't want to give credit to the present anymore.
Could Federalism save the U.S of America?
Interesting O's frame of constant references to Lincoln, man who started the Civil War.
Republicans are silent, perhaps, still in shock.
Democrats -- all hope...
How immature.
This note is for the Summer Fool [I am still in 2008]
